I promised myself I wouldn't delve too much into theatrical releases as I usually need the rewind or flat out re-watch for most movies these days. Bless you DVDs and BluRays. Everything has its exceptions and my blog reserves this right too.

I wasn't looking to really relate to this film as my boss is pretty cool. When you are part of a large company or any company, there are horrible bosses to be seen. There is only so much I can take of Jason Bateman bringing the same sort of role to most of his films. This is no exception either. He was probably my least favorite character. His boss was none other than Kevin Spacey. Once again, also a let down since Kevin is capable of being a prick in his sleep. Stealing the show, would have to be Charlie Day. He worked his piece of the story very well with Jennifer Aniston as his horrible boss. I have to agree, I wouldn't mind having his problem if I weren't a married guy. He really did play off his situation quite comically and I might need to check out his perfomance in the show Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Jennifer Aniston did well in this role as it was a character that was outside the realm of her good girl, feel sorry for, typecast.

My favorite aspect of this one was when the men all resort to seeking the assistance of Jamie Foxx's character. The whole scene is operating on unnecessary stereotype but needless to say, it worked out in this case.

This is a situational comedy that is clearly looking for a few moments to up the ante from other comedies of this similar sort. Some of the characters/actors succeeded and we'll leave it at that.

I don't think its worth the ticket price to check this one out unless your life is that boring and you could use some chuckles here and there. Even the die-hards can restrain yourselves.
